A good number of children both big and small as well as a few young at heart enjoyed an afternoon of Technicolour Dreamcoat themed activities creating dreamcoat collages, dreamcatcher mobiles and painting dreamy pictures using bubbles. They even decorated a full sized coat with buttons, coloured balls and glittery stars to represent a full size real dreamcoat. Afterwards we had a short play about Joseph brought to us by the Water Orton Open Book Group. Even with a few brothers on holiday or perhaps Jacob could not count we found out how the other eleven brothers sold Joseph into slavery and then with a mock interview found out how it all turned out and ended up being a wonderful story of survival and forgiveness. All this excitement was topped of with a drink and some lovely cakes rounding off a lovely afternoon. |
