Womens World Day of Prayer

7.00pm Friday 7th March
A lovely service with a real ecumenical feel which was led by the choir. Gill Noble is presented a talk and the service was written by women of Eygpt. The church looked lovely and was beautifully decorated to the theme "Streams of the Desert". Find out more about why the day is held here.

March Coffee morning

A busy morning which raised a magnificent total of £117 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association The cakes were not to be missed and I suspect you will have enjoyed the jokes as well as the conversation. It was nice to see Diane back, after recovering from her illness. Many were pleased to see that the weather is gradually cheering up and we have been promised a nice weekend to come. This is good news after the recent bouts of flooding, which fortunately left the church just about unscathed. With the Lenten meetings now started and Ash Wednesday being only yesterday, many discussed what people had started to give up for Lent - just so long as you were not tempted too much by the cakes!
