Although it got off to a slow start the room soon filled up and Kian our very own rehomed greyhound was there to show how gentle and loving these dogs can be. Although he found it a bit difficult to negotiate the slippery floor of the room he had his own special selection of carpets to settle down on.
Our numbers were swelled by choir members who joined as for a quick rehearsal in the chapel before leaving for St Giles to join in the funeral service of a long standing Whitacre resident, Ellen Coningsby.
Despite being a nice sunny day, people away and on their holidays did seem to hit attendance a little but with some nice cakes and the added attraction of the dog, we still raised £100.
