Our open the book team have been at it again - this time feeding the 5000 with loaves and fishes helped by the members of the school worship council who played the crowd.
A good crowd came to be entertained again by our friend Brian. The food was good and the company excellent. Brian sang for more than two hours and we do appreciate him giving up his time. £303.25 was raised for the Chapel as a result of everyone’s hard work. Thank you!
Our service was led by Rev Chris Giles who reflected on the Easter day happenings reminding us of what an exciting encounter the women had, who went to the tomb early on the first Sunday.
A morning which gradually got busier and raised £115 for the womens shelter in Coventry Haven. Elizabeth and Hazel were in charge today and we also celebrated Elizabeth and Terry's diamond wedding celebrations with a cake.
Fiona led our worship but the service was dramatized by some of the open the book team who presented Jesus and the Palm Sunday story complete with a donkey. Fortunately the group do not work with animals so the beast was well behaved!
Whitacre Congregation is a vibrant mix of young and old who enjoy meeting for Sunday worship. Do come and join us.
