Link to HopeOnce again we are collecting shoe boxes for Link to Hope. This charity sends boxes at Christmas to Romania, Ukraine, Bulgaria and Moldova.
You are asked to fill a box for a family or an elderly couple. Leaflets are available at the Methodist Church which will advise you of what is needed. You are asked to contribute £3 towards the travel costs of each box. If you cannot fill a box yourself the charity will do it for you after a donation of £20 a box. Please have the boxes ready by October 20th. They can be left at the church before then. The idea is that all members of the family share in the contents of the box, so it is not all children’s toys but gifts for every individual. If you have any questions ask Jill Howell All boxes must be at the Church by the date above so they are ready for delivery to the warehouses. This is early but necessary to ensure the boxes arrive at their destination in time for Christmas Please see the web link to see what content is now allowed and how to wrap it please. Last year in 2023 we managed to send 18 boxes from Whitacre and will be grateful for all donations this year.
