June sees us meet to raise money for Queen Victoria's Seafarers Rest (QVSR). This is a Methodist society that helps up to former seafarers in their care and retirement offering a total of up to 175 formal car home places in Poplar and a number of other centres at several major ports. As an Island nation this is an important part of our culture. Perhaps you have booked a cruise or are planning to use a ferry as part of your holiday this year? Come and discuss with friends and new contacts as we look forward to the summer now that the garden is blooming.
